Pickup for Shrewsbury
Christian Environmental Services is one of the largest Missouri-based,
integrated solid waste service companies that provides solid waste
collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services. We strive to
provide service excellence for the communities that place their trust
in our company. We respect and appreciate those that we are fortunate
to serve.
As part of this new contract Christian will provide the following
services for $17.80 per month or $53.40 per quarter.Anything outside of the toter is extra trash and is charged at $1.00/bag. If you require additional toters they are available for $2.75 per month.
Senior Citizens
(65 and over) receive a discount of $1.00 per month:
- Once a week curbside trash service every Tuesday
- Once a week yard waste service every Wednesday
- Once a week curbside recycling service every Friday
- Quarterly pick up for bulk items
- One 65 gallon toter for trash (provided)
- One 18 gallon recycle bin (provided)
Waste Collection Procedures: Regular trash will be picked up on
Tuesday’s of each week. Waste must be placed curbside in the
65 gallon container by 7:00 a.m.
If you require additional toters they are available for $2.75 per month.

Yard Waste will be picked up on Wednesday’s of each week.

You may rent
one of our 65 gallon trash cans for a nominal monthly charge which will be
clearly labeled YARD WASTE ONLY. You can not overload the trash can; it must
be level with the top of the can. If you use your own can, it must have
handles on it. If the can is too heavy for one man to lift 5 ft it may not
be picked up.

Remember that
yard waste and household trash cannot be mixed together. It is against
Federal Regulations.
Recycling Procedures
Recycling will be picked up on Fridays of each week. Single stream
recycling enables you to mix all materials that can be recycled in
one container. As a point of reference, 50+% of all your trash should
be recycled. If you would like a dedicated 65 gallon toter dedicated
for recycled material we will be happy to provide one for you at an
additional charge ($2.75/Month).

Bulk Collection Procedures
Bulky items are defined as household materials that are too large to
fit in your regular waste collection container. Examples are furniture,
carpet, old bicycles and some household construction materials.
Bulk Collection will be on Mondays again this year and will take place on the following dates:
- Monday, January 25, 2010
- Monday, April 19, 2010
- Monday, July 19, 2010
- Monday, October 18, 2010
Appliance Pickup
Appliances are picked up separate from bulky items. To order an
appliance pickup please call our customer service department toll free
at 1-866-522-3781.
Holidays
CHRISTIAN DISPOSAL observes six holidays: New Years Day, Memorial
Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
During weeks containing one of the above holidays,
all collection routes will run one day later.
This will occur no mater what day your
collection is. If your collection day is Friday, then your collection
will occur on Saturday of that week. The normal collection schedule
will resume on the following week.
If a holiday
falls during a normal work week (Monday - Friday) and the holiday falls on or
before your pick up day you will be picked up one day later than normally
scheduled.
Billing
Service is billed
on a quarterly billing cycle. Payment in full is due by the 24th of the month
to avoid any finance charges assessed on your account. If you would like to
receive your invoice via e-mail please contact customer service to set up for
E-Billing. If you would like to pay the balance by debit or credit card you
may make a onetime payment by clicking the "pay bill online" tab. You
could also call customer service to make a payment by phone for an additional
$3.00 fee. Otherwise please mail a check or money order to P.O. Box 9 Winfield,
MO 63389.
